Finding Strength in the "New Body": Why Every Athlete Belongs

I truly love the diversity of athletes I get to work with. One hour I might be strategizing for a sub-3-hour marathon or a personal record, and the next, I’m helping an athlete learn how to move in their new body after a life altering event. This variety keeps me humble and constantly learning—not just about the mechanics of training, but about the deep emotional resilience it takes to show up.

Reclaiming Your "New Body"

As a solo business owner with a background in human science, I care deeply about the individuals I coach. My practice isn't just about speed; it’s about supporting those who have faced life-altering events—whether that’s a disability, a major illness, or a surgery that requires relearning how to move in a "new body".

I treat all my athletes with the same respect, empathy, and encouragement, whether they are training for a fast race or navigating:

  • Medical treatments and the physical side effects of infusions.

  • Recovery challenges, such as losing a limb, part of a lung, or having life-altering surgery.

  • Life stages, including peri-menopause or the juggling act of busy parents with careers.

Bridging the Gap

My experience in healthcare allows me to bridge the gap between your medical team and your athletic goals. I coordinate directly with oncologists and therapists to ensure your workouts are safe, effective, and tailored to exactly what your body will allow. Whether we are managing neuropathy or regaining balance, I enjoy figuring out how to bring you back to your sport with confidence.

In a social media world that often highlights only "perfect" days, it’s easy to feel like you don't belong if you’re struggling. I am here to tell you that you do belong. I am passionate about helping people find that sense of belonging while learning to love what their bodies are capable of doing right now.

Fitness Meets Inner Peace

My coaching philosophy is rooted in a peaceful existence, influenced by my studies in shamanism and Buddhism. My ultimate goal is to empower you to find that vital balance between physical fitness and inner peace while building lifelong habits and a healthy relationship with your sport.

If you have experienced a major physical life change, or know someone who has, reach out. Let’s see how we can empower you to move with confidence again.
