My Story
About me.
When I was in my teens I had no self esteem, no hobbies and lived off of junk food. At around the age of 19 I was introduced to mountain biking which was challenging but fun. I met a group of people who raced and encouraged me to sign up for one. There were only a handful of women racing back then but they were all so kind and supportive. The men encouraged us to keep showing up and eventually I found myself racing cross country at the expert level and downhill at the professional level. After a series of very bad crashes I walked away from racing and began exploring other sports.
I found high altitude mountaineering and eventually climbed Denali in 2010. After a series of life changes I took a break from mountaineering and found I had a gift with running. I was an elite trail runner for several years and experienced severe trauma from racing and a string of very rough life events. I found I was also constantly in an success/injury cycle and began to realize that being competitive was not healthy for me.
I still loved endurance sports and wanted to remain involved in them. I also spent a few years recovering from some traumatic life events and found that I was able to completely put the trauma behind me, find forgiveness and most of all find unconditional love for myself. When that happened all the good things started to happen to me and I became a healthier and happier athlete. I was determined to help others overcome past trauma and guide them into having a healthy relationship with their sport, nutrition, people in their lives but most of all with themselves.
My coaching is unique because I help you find internal peace while adjusting your training to reduce stress but also increase fitness. When you work with me you have an endurance coach, strength coach, life coach, nutrition coach, corrective exercise specialist and your biggest cheerleader all in one place. I strive to provide the most caring coaching experience for everyone I work with.
